The CoQ10 in our CoQLIFE product  (QBEST) is truly a crystal free CoQ10 product.  CoQ10 is lipophillic, meaning it dissolves in a lipid and not in water.  In this novel formula, there are three lipids; one in which the CoQ10 dissolves; one that prevents recrystalization; and one that facilitates absorption in the small intestine.  This formula is specifically designed to provide maximum CoQ10 absorption and bioavailability.  To prove the theoretical claims,  QBEST underwent clinical trials including a 36-hour peak absorption study to determine the total amount of CoQ10 absorbed, and a 28-day steady state study to determine the amount of CoQ10 in the blood plasma available for use by the body cells.  In these studies, QBEST was compared to a standard dry powder CoQ10 product.
The results of the 36-hour absorption study showed that QBEST had a total absorption of 11.65% compared to dry powder having a total absorption of 1.32%, which makes QBEST absorbed 783% more than dry powder.  At the end of  the 28-day steady state study there were 8989 micrograms of QBEST  available for use by the cells, compared to 1623 micrograms of dry powder CoQ10, which makes QBEST  454% more bioavailable than dry powder products.

To understand the significance of the results of these studies, one must first understand the definitions and differences between absorption and bioavailability. 
ABSORPTION of CoQ10 is the movement of CoQ10 into the bloodstream.  It involves several phases: ingestion by mouth, dissolution (breakdown of CoQ10 crystals into single molecules) in the stomach and small intestine, and uptake from the small intestine into the absorption cells which deliver CoQ10 into the lymphatics and then into the general circulation of blood where the CoQ10 becomes BIOAVAILABLE.  Without ABSORPTION in the small intestine CoQ10 is literally flushed down the drain and is not available to the body; without ABSORPTION, CoQ10 cannot be BIOAVAILABLE.  More Info
